Jeremiah is an experienced businessman who has successfully run a couple of business solutions. Jeremiah formed his first IT company in 2014 during which he and his team created a University Management Software for one of the largest private universities in Benin Republic. Over the years, Jeremiah has specialized in the field of machine learning and computer vision and with expertise in Python and R amongst many other languages. Jeremiah collaborates on projects ranging from finance to health to insurance and many other interesting projects. Jeremiah is also a recipient of several awards (some of which include Presidential Honors in Nigeria and Gubernatorial Honors in Osun State and Abia State in Nigeria) due to his community services. Jeremiah is also the Lead organizer of Deep Learning IndabaX, Benin Republic which seeks to train students and improve the knowledge of Artificial Intelligence in Africa. Jeremiah has won several scholarships and is also a member of the largest Honours international society which selects Top 15% of students in South Africa. Jeremiah obtained all his degrees (BSc, BSc Hons, and MSc) with distinction and is currently finishing his Doctoral studies in computer science. Jeremiah’s research revolves around using deep learning frameworks to solve driver distraction (drowsiness or fatigue, text-driving etc.) problems in order to reduce the rate of accidents on South African roads.

Team Leader (Eblocks Software Pty Ltd, South Africa)
Given a South African Identity Document, the task was to: extract the name of the bearer, extract the identity number and also extract the face of the bearer into a directory for future references.
Team Leader (Eblocks Software Pty Ltd, South Africa)
Given a two images, the task was to identify if these two images are the very same person or not. In the event that they are not the same person, a warning should be made in case of possible impersonation. A certain image is deemed the original, and the secon (or other images) as the comparing images. If the comparing image(s) does not match the original image, a warning is made for that very image.
Applicant (Argility Pty Ltd, South Africa)
A dataset was collected about the median house values in certain areas. Given this data, we developed a machine learning model which is able to predict the value of a house in an area.
Co-Team Leader (Raphta Pty Ltd, South Africa)
The task was to develop a computer vision problem based on deep learning to count the number of people going in and out of a mall (or office).
Team Leader (Raphta Pty Ltd, South Africa)
The task was to develop a system which is able to warn the driver to concentrate on the wheel. This warning is triggered when the system sees that the driver is either using a cell phone or looking sideways or seemingly not concentrated on the wheels. Angle measurement is a major feature to this.
Team Leader (Raphta Pty Ltd, South Africa)
The tasks involved in these two projects were to develop a machine learning model which is able to identify certain objects and a machine learning model which is able to identify numbers (0-9) and English letter alphabets (A – Z).
Team Leader (Raphta Pty Ltd, South Africa)
The tasks involved in these two projects were to develop a machine learning model which is able to identify different vehicles (Truck, Bus, Car or Motorcycle) and a machine learning model which is able to identify a product which does not belong to a certain manufacturer.
Masters Project (WITS University, South Africa)
Given the contribution of driver distraction to many motor vehicular accidents, I am developing a real time alert system which monitors the driver state based on facial features and then trigger an alarm when the driver is sleepy (or sleeping). This system is developed to wake drivers up (in the same way as an alarm clock) or allow for the driver to hand over the system to the autonomous vehicle (where applicable).
Bsc (Hons) project (WITS University, South Africa)
This research project was inspired due to the astounding loss to credit card frauds in South Africa as stated by SABRIC. South Africa has lost over 4 billion Rand to credit card fraud. I thus created a machine learning model which is able to predict that a transaction on a credit card is fraudulent or not. Given the imbalance problem of this domain too, I tackled the problem of imbalance by applying sampling techniques.
BSc (Hons) project (Universite Internationale du Benin, Benin Republique)
I developed a computer based examination system, where the computer reads out the questions and the options (in the case of multiple choice questions) and allows the examinee (student) to respond with spoken answers too.
